Dating back to 1854, the Egyptian National Railway was the first railway to open and operate in Africa and the Middle East. It remains a popular form of travel in the country and travels over 800 million passenger miles annually. This recording captured a pass near the town of El Kab which is located between Luxor and Aswan.
