The Nile is the longest river in the world and has been the lifeblood of Egypt for thousands of years. It has been a vital method of transportation since ancient times and remains an important part of Egypt’s economy today. Over 90% of the population live near the river and almost all of the cultural and historical sites are found along its banks. This recording captures some of the local birds and distant boats that constantly travel up and down the river.
