Stonehenge remains one of the great mysteries of modern civilization. Archeologists claim the monument was erected over 4,000 years ago, but do not know who built the structure or its original purpose. Situated on the side of a highway in the English countryside, today it attracts visitors from all over the world to stand in awe of its remains.
