Boules
Pétanque is a boules game similar to bocce ball that originated in France. The objective is for the player to get their boules (balls) close to the cochonnet or target ball. Its popularity has spread across the world and some of the best players in the world come from Madagascar. This recording of a casual game was captured in a farming village outside of the city of Antsirabe.
