Garden Isle
Kauai is the fourth largest of the Hawaiian Islands and is the oldest island geologically. It was formed by volcanoes approximately six million years ago and is one of the wettest spots on earth due to the abundant average rainfall. The lush and fertile conditions caused by the rain make Kauai a welcoming home to a number of birds, including doves, whose call can be heard in this morning recording.
