Kawena’ula
Kehena Beach is a black sand beach located on Hawaii’s Big Island. It was formed in 1955 when lava flowed down the sea cliffs and into the ocean. Just a few blocks away, the Coqui frogs make their presence heard amongst the area’s fruit trees at night.
