Ancient and Modern
Sitting on the Mediterranean coast is Beirut, the capital and largest city of Lebanon. Continuously populated since ancient times, the cities culture contains a blend of Greek, Roman, Arab, Ottoman Turk and French influence. The crowded metropolis is notorious for bad traffic and impatient drivers constantly honk their horns in an effort to get cars moving.
