Jewel of Laos
The city of Luang Prabang is well known for its many Buddhist temples and monasteries. The temple of Wat Wisunalat represents the earliest form of Lao temple architecture. During the early morning and late afternoon, drums can be heard around the city calling monks for prayers and to mark other special occasions.
