Lava Beach
Located on the east coast of Maui is Waiʻanapanapa State Park. Along with impressive natural beauty and caves to explore, the park is also known for its black sand beach. The sand is actually tiny fragments of lava that formed when a volcano erupted and the hot lava hit the cold ocean.
