Volcan
La Grande Soufrière is a volcano located on the Basse-Terre island of Guadeloupe. At 1,467 meters high, it is the highest mountain peak in the Lesser Antilles of the Caribbean. The birds and insects of the island provide the soundtrack to the moderately difficult hike to the top. Lucky visitors can be greeted with a stunning display of the surrounding ocean and nearby islands, but others can often be met with cloud cover impacting the views.
