Mount Rinjani is an active volcano on the Indonesian island of Lombok. At 3,726 meters high, it is the second-tallest volcano in the country. At the top, its caldera is partially filled by a crater lake. The lake is approximately 2000 meters above sea level, and it is estimated to be 200 meters deep. The forest surrounding Mount Rinjani is protected, making it an inviting habitat for a wide variety of bird species.
