Island of Peace
Ubud is a town on the Indonesian island of Bali. Part of the Gianyar Regency, it is located amongst the rice paddies and central foothills of the island. Though Ubud is one of Bali’s largest arts and cultural centers, it is also home to a wide variety of wildlife. The resulting biodiversity fills the area with sound sensations. This busy night sound was recorded in 2011 at a guesthouse just outside the city center, where the rice fields begin.
