Located on an inlet of the Adriatic Sea, the Bay of Vlorë is almost completely surrounded by mountains. Vlorë is the largest city in the region, and also one of Albania’s oldest cities. Despite Vlorë’s comparatively warm climate, the area has a reputation for very cold seawater.
