Sullivan Bay is located on the east end of Santiago Island in the Galápagos. Named after Bartholomew James Sullivan, the first lieutenant of the HMS Beagle, the area is most noted as a large lava field. The eruption happened over 170 years ago which is recent from a geological perspective and visitors can explore the unique formations next to the sea.
